Filmmaker Rachel Howard Joins Ikan

HOUSTON, Texas (February 20, 2018) - Ikan is thrilled to announce that Rachel Howard has joined the Ikan Team as the representative for the West Coast and International accounts. Rachel grew up in the entertainment industry. Her father was a member of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Country Music and was a booking agent for Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Willie Nelson, as well as many others. The family's entertainment tradition began with her grandmother Bea Terry who founded DJ Magazine back in the 1950s. For the past 20 years, Rachel has continued the family tradition as an award-winning writer / producer / director and talented entertainment professional.

Prior to joining Ikan, Rachel worked for RedRock Micro as their Sales Manager then moved to the Reseller Manager position, working as a liaison for filmmakers and resellers. In this capacity, she aided both independent and established filmmakers and producers while channeling feedback to the equipment manufacturer. Her many years in the media industry gave her a clear understanding of both the practical and creative side of production. Her familiarity with the tools available to the industry enables Rachel to recommend the best solution for a wide range of productions and budgets.

Rachel possesses an unparalleled talent for bridging the two ends of the equipment pipeline - between those who create the tools and those that use them. The Ikan team looks forward to Rachel continuing and expanding on that talent here at Ikan, with the goal of expanding our West Coast presence. Rachel is exactly the person to continue the Ikan tradition of bringing filmmakers the tools to unleash their creative potential.
