HOUSTON, Texas, (January 24, 2017) – Ikan and Postium are teaming up to create the most feature-rich line of 4K production monitors. The OBM series offers full 4K support up to 4096×2160 at 60p signals and features 12G-SDI single link, 3G-SDI Dual Link, Quad Link 4K, and HDMI 2.0 inputs. In addition to multiple input support, the OBM series boasts color accuracy and panel uniformity that are essential for color critical applications. The monitors support side-by-side color space and gamma comparison as well as full 3D-LUT support. With the OBM series of monitors, Ikan and Postium have prioritized quality and compatibility to offer the most complete and versatile line of 4K monitors.
The first two monitors in the OBM series that are available now are the OBM-U170 and the OBM-U240. The OBM-U170 has a 1920 x 1080 10-bit LCD panel while the OBM-U240 is native 4K with a 3840 x 2160 10-Bit LCD panel. Users can monitor sources using the internal waveform and vector scope in both monitors. The Gamma value can also be adjusted from 1.0 to 3.0 depending on a user’s preferences. Additional monitors in the OBM series aren’t available yet, but the OBM-U310 and the OBM-U550 will be coming soon. The OBM-U310 is a 31″ native 4K HDR LCD professional monitor and the OBM-U550 is a 55″ native 4K HDR OLED professional monitor.
All monitors in the OBM series have a SFP Optical interface, which allows users to take advantage of broadcast cameras and switchers that utilize the interface.
