PoE NDI Teleprompter & NDI Talent Monitor
This teleprompter is designed for video production environments where scripted on-camera delivery needs to feel natural and seamless. Its NDI (Network Device Interface) integration, IP-based controls, and versatile connectivity make it particularly suited for modern, networked workflows.
- Companies or individuals often produce high-quality video content without the infrastructure of a full broadcast studio, so the device’s IP features (like POE power, NDI streaming, and tally over a single Ethernet cable) reduce setup time and cabling clutter.
- The on-camera- talent can deliver polished messages (e.g., quarterly updates, news, product launches, or video conferencing) while maintaining eye contact with the camera. The NDI encoding/decoding allows seamless integration with tools like Zoom, Teams, or Vmix for live streaming. Tally lights (controlled via IP or contact closure) signal when the feed is live, preventing off-script moments.
- Video teams produce demo videos or social media content. The 65/35 beam-splitter glass provides clear text reflection without distorting the camera image, supporting high-res cameras like cinema or mirrorless models. The secure canvas hood blocks glare in brightly lit offices, and the acrylic protector guards against accidental damage during transport.
Our NDI Teleprompter features Full NDI (Network Device Interface) encoding/decoding, as well as traditional 3G-SDI, HDMI, Composite and VGA, inputs. NDI is a video-over-IP protocol that allows for high-quality, low-latency video transmission over standard Ethernet networks. Our NDI teleprompter can be connected to a network using standard Ethernet cables, eliminating the need for dedicated video cables or specialized hardware. In addition, the teleprompter utilizes PoE++ technology that allows both power and NDI data to be transmitted through a single Ethernet cable. By using a single cable for power, tally lights, and data transmission, you can reduce the overall cost of materials, as well as the cost of installation and maintenance. This teleprompter features two NDI monitors for both scripting and talent.
Using Beam Splitters for Teleprompters
Ikan’s teleprompter beam splitter glass allows talent to read from a teleprompter screen while maintaining direct eye contact with the camera or audience. The 3mm thick optical-grade glass features a front surface mirror coating with 65% transmission and 35% reflection, along with an anti-reflection (AR) coating on the rear to prevent ghosting. This design ensures clear, color-neutral images for the camera and easy-to-read text for the talent.

Proprietary Glass and Coating Formula
The glass is coated so that it reflects 65% of the light projected onto it while allowing the remaining 35% to pass through. This unique characteristic enables the presenter to read the reflected script text clearly, projected from a monitor below or behind the glass, while simultaneously allowing the camera positioned directly behind the glass to record through it without capturing the reflected text.

Large Range of Camera Compatibility
Our professional line of teleprompters include three different camera mount bases, making it compatible with a wide variety of cameras such as professional ENG cameras, cinema cameras, mirrorless cameras, and camcorders.
Height of Riser Plates:
Large – 135mm/5.31 inches
Short – 52.5mm/2.06 inches
DLSR – 160mm/6.29 inches
Versatile Teleprompter Monitor
The 19-inch prompter monitor features SDI, HDMI, Composite, and VGA inputs and the native resolution is 1920 x 1080. The OSD adjustment menu allows adjustment for contrast, brightness, You can also adjust the intensity of each RGB color channel. Aspect ratio can be set as 16:9, 4:3, full, or it can be set to automatically detect the aspect ratio and set it accordingly.

Image Flip Button
The monitor features an image flip button that allows for both horizontal and vertical flipping of the displayed image. This feature is ideal for presenters who are video conferencing since it enables the presenter to view themselves as if they were looking into a mirror, giving a greater sense of comfort during the video conference or live stream.
Acrylic Screen Protector
The acrylic screen protector on the NDI teleprompter’s 19-inch monitor shields the LCD from scratches, dust, and accidental impacts.

Aluminum Chassis
The custom aluminum housing is robust and will protect the monitor from the rigors of production. The monitor features bezel-mounted buttons making it easy to navigate menu functions or change your input source.
Easy to Balance
The 19-inch Teleprompter includes a rail that allows you to easily balance your entire teleprompter setup so that you don’t need a counter weight. The teleprompter can be offset along the sled
Widescreen Talent Monitor
The 19-inch Widescreen Talent Monitor is designed to conveniently attach below the teleprompter to enable on-screen talent see their presentations live. The monitor features NDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, Composite, and VGA, inputs. The OSD adjustment menu allows adjustment for contrast, brightness, backlight, tint, chroma, sharpness. You can also adjust the intensity of each RGB color channel. Aspect ratio can be set as 16:9, 4:3, full, or it can be set to automatically detect the aspect ratio and set it accordingly. When plugged into a compatible video switcher, the talent monitor utilizes a red/green tally light that lets you know when your camera is live. The talent monitor includes a 15mm mounting system that connects it to the teleprompter.
Graphical User Interface
The NDI teleprompter monitor includes a built-in web-based graphical user interface (GUI) for remote management of your NDI streams. This intuitive interface allows you to assign presets, enable or configure encoding and decoding options, select and display specific NDI streams, adjust IP settings, and perform firmware updates.

Integrated IP and Contact Closure Tally Light
The M19W-NDI monitor features a tally light that illuminates red and green. This tally light can be controlled one of three ways; As an IP tally light that works directly with Vmix, Contact closure for switchers the a GPI output, or NDI. This means that a director can cut between cameras and the tally color will let the on-camera talent know which camera is live. A green tally light is typically used to indicate that a camera is in preview mode. This means that the camera’s output is being sent to a monitor, but it is not currently on air. This allows the talent, director, and production crew to check the composition, focus, and other aspects of the shot before it goes live. A red tally light is used to indicate when a camera is live or on-air.
Dual Tally Lights
The talent monitor can be mounted as either a talent monitor or a script monitor. The monitor features a toggle switch that allows you to choose which of the two tally lights you would like to use depending on which setup you decide to choose.
Multiple Tally Control Protocols
The M19W-NDI offers three different ways to control the tally light.
- Over NDI: When the monitor is being used as an NDI encoder, the tally light will react when the encoded stream goes live
- Contact Closure: The monitor’s tally light can be controlled by cold contact closure via the RJ45 tally connector on the monitor
- Over IP: The tally light can be controlled over IP when using Vmix switchers.

10 Preset Buttons
The NDI monitor includes 10 preset buttons for quick access to different NDI streams. If you have multiple NDI streams available on your network, you can assign each one to a specific preset number (from 1 to 10). Once assigned, simply press the corresponding button to instantly switch the monitor to display that stream.

Ultra-Secure Hood
The hood of the teleprompter is anchored to the frame with bolts and additionally secured with magnets for extra stability.

Compatible with Bigger Lenses
The teleprompter hood for the PT419 features a much wider opening allowing some of the biggest lenses available to be used. *Please note an additional dovetail and rod system will be required for use with broadcast box lenses.

Ships in Reusable Foam
The professional teleprompter is shipped in reusable custom cut foam which will help keep the kit safe and organized when you set it up or break it down. The custom cut foam fits perfectly fit in the optional Ikan PT-CASE-4U rolling hard case
* Please note that the NDI monitor included only decodes and encodes 1080p High-bandwidth NDI (Full NDI) Streams YUV color space of up to 4:2:0. It does not encode or decode NDI-HX Streams.
