Ikan International Corp (Ikan) announced today the release of the Saga line of 3G-SDI/HDMI monitors. Inspired by Saga, the goddess of history and storytelling, the Ikan Saga line of monitors strives to help filmmakers tell their stories.

The first product in the Saga line is the S7H, a 7” on-camera high bright monitor, which was designed to be affordable, slim, and lightweight. The S7H has features such as false color, peaking, and histogram. It supports dual battery plates and comes with 2 Canon E6 battery plates, but is also compatible with all BP5 battery plates that work with Sony L series, Canon 900, Panasonic D54, and Nikon EL15, Sony BP-U batteries. This monitor also boasts a brightness of 700 nits. With its light weight and slim profile, the Saga S7H is perfect for run and gun shooters and people on the go.

“When creating the Saga S7H, we wanted to fill the void in the marketplace for an affordable high bright monitor that would also be slim and lightweight. Most monitors available on the market today are high priced, heavier, and bulky. The S7H boasts 700 nits of brightness while maintaining a slim profile and doesn’t break the bank,” says Dariel Resendez, Product Manager.

The S7H monitor is available now at $749.99 list price and can be found on Ikan’s website or at any authorized dealer. For more information on the S7H, visit ikancorp.com.
