HOUSTON, Texas, (June 3, 2016) – Ikan is excited to announce that it will be distributing the latest version of the Tilta Armor-Man. With the Armor-Man 2, professional filmmakers get better, more stabilized shots in a more comfortable way. The latest Armor-Man is compatible with Tilta Gravity, DJI Ronin, Freefly Movi, and other dual grip 3-axis gimbal stabilizers.
In this version, the design has been improved with smart new features to meet the needs of today’s camera operating professionals. Its sleek new design makes it more compact and gives it a better fit, making it easier to navigate through areas that are hard to maneuver when filming.
One of the Armor-Man 2’s most impressive features is its innovative quick release system that allows for the dual spring arms to quickly snap into the support vest. When not in use, each arm can be swiveled down into a resting position and then locked into place along the operator’s waist. Since the gimbal hand grips can rest inside the support, the operator can keep their arms free for any hands-on camera adjustments. This also provides support without limiting the operator’s range of movement.
On the back of the vest, there is a V-Lock battery plate with a 4-Pin Lemo power socket for your cinema camera. Operators can run power directly to the gimbal through the right arm support. The Armor-Man 2 comes packed in a traveling hard case with a custom protective foam insert.
The Tilta Armor-Man 2 improves the overall comfort level by providing better stability and support, allowing you to shoot for longer periods of time. It’s the ultimate support system for 3-axis gimbal stabilizers.
“The new Armor-Man 2 improves on what’s already great on the original Armor-Man with a more comfortable, easy-to-use vest that further improves the best gimbal support system in the market,” says Julio Ramon, Product Manager.
