Sony FS700 Camera Rig (Tilta)

The Tilta FS700 rig is a precision machined and black anodized cameracage, designed specifically for the Sony FS700 camera. The rig attaches atboth the top and bottom of the camera, with form fitting risers on bothsides, locking the rig and camera into one unit. The rig protects the camerabody, without blocking any of the controls or impeding their use, whileadding, 1/4”-20 accessory attachment mounting points on the risers andtop of the cage.

The camera mounting plate is vented, and features three mounting screwsto secure the camera, and provides the correct lens height for usingaccessories such as rod mounted matte boxes and follow focus units. Thetop of the cage mounts to the camera at two places, and features anintegrated 15mm LWS support rod system. This allows you to addavailable accessories such as follow focus units or zoom motors above thelens, which is always useful when mounting multiple accessories.

The quick-release top handle provides a secure grip for carrying thecamera, as well as a simple way to get low angle handheld shots. The tophandle also features additional 1/4”-20 threaded mounting holes for moreaccessories, and has a quick release mechanism that attaches to themounting bar on the top plate. The mounting bar provides several inchesof forward-to- back balance adjustment and features a built-in a safetycatch that prevents the top handle from accidentally disengaging from therig. The side risers provide 1/4”-20 threaded mounting holes, and thecamera left side riser also features an ARRI compatible rosette formounting accessories.

The rig includes a sliding baseplate with a 15mm LWS rod system,adjustable thumbscrews for securing the rods, and two ARRI compatiblerosettes. One 5” and one 10” dovetail plate, each with 1/4”-20 & 3/8”-16threaded mounting sockets and safety catches, are included for attachingthe camera to and balancing it on a tripod. The sliding baseplate and bothdovetail plates are relieved to reduce their weight to a minimum withoutcompromising their strength. The rig also includes three pairs of hard-anodized 15mm aluminum rods and a pair of rod extensions for joiningthe rods together. The rig easily converts to a shoulder support rig with theaddition of available accessories such as, the UH-T03 Universal Handgrip,TT-0516 Offset Shoulder Pad  and TT-0505 15mm Counterweight, or the TT-0506- 15  15mm Dovetail Shoulder Mount System.
