DS2-MPA70-KIT
Looking to expand your creativity? Combine the Ikan Beholder DS2 with a strong, lightweight, and portable quick adjust monopod. Take your 3-Axis gimbal to a whole new level.
Jib/Operator
Mounting a Beholder to an MPA70 monopod adds stability, control, and delivers a natural feel when operating a 3-Axis gimbal. No jib? No problem. By extending the Ikan Beholder out on the monopod, you can create jib-like shots in a matter of seconds with no extra gear or complicated setups.
Drone Style Shot
Shoot among the trees in a drone-like fashion by raising your Ikan Beholder on the MPA70 monopod. Give your shots the look of a drone without the risk of flight and record usable audio without loud propeller noise.
Strength
Meets Portability
Constructed out of aluminum and weighing only 1.59 lbs., the monopod is still light enough not to weigh you down.
Twist to Lock
The MPA70 expands through 5 different sections. Each one features a twist lock knob for quick height adjustments.
Flip & Mount
The base of the monopod contains a 1/4″-20 screw that can be flipped around and converted into 3/8″-16.
60 Second Auto-Sweep
The DS2 has a 60 second auto-sweep feature that allows you to program a 60 second movement. Position the camera at the end point, and then press the mode button 5 times. Then, position the camera at the start point and let the DS2 do the rest! The camera will move from one point to the other in a 60 second time frame.
Advanced Stabilization
Using a 32-bit controller with a 12-bit encoder, the DS2 uses an adaptive PID algorithm to produce an efficient handheld stabilizer. This means that the gimbal will respond faster, balance easier, and have greater battery life.
Multiple Follow Modes
The DS2 features 3 different follow modes. In Yaw-Axis Follow Mode, the DS2 will only follow your Pan movements. In Pitch and Yaw-Axis Follow mode, the DS2 will follow your Pan and Tilt Movements. Finally, the 3-Axis Follow Mode gives you full control allowing you to Pan, Tilt, and Roll.
Lock Mode
(Profile 1)
Lock Mode will allow the camera to hold a certain direction, and will not follow, pan, or tilt.
Pan-Follow Mode
(Profile 2)
Pan-Follow Mode allows the gimbal to follow pan axis, and hold the tilt position.
Follow Mode
(Profile 3)
Follow Mode allows the camera to follow both tilt and pan directions.
3-Axis Follow Mode
(Profile 4)
3-Axis Follow Mode has no restrictions as it allows the camera to follow pan, tilt, and roll.
