HOUSTON, Texas, (Apr. 8, 2015) – At the 2015 NAB Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 13-16, Ikan International Corp will present seven new camera support tools from its Elements Rigs line. With help from a full complement of knowledgeable Ikan staffers, NAB attendees have the opportunity to get ‘up-close and hands-on’ with all the products. The Ikan booth is located in the Central Hall, number C6537.

Highlighted in the 2015 showcase will be cage kits for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, the Sony a7s camera, and the Panasonic GH4 camera, along with four new Elements rigs. Ikan’s Elements product line provides a number of cost-effective camera stabilization and accessory mounting solutions – from a simple base plate with grips to full-featured rigs with accommodations for monitors, lights, follow focus, and other components.

The single-piece Elements cage kits for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera (ELE-BMPCC-C), the Sony a7s camera (ELE-A7S-C), and the Panasonic GH4 camera (ELE-GH4-C) have been form-fitted for each body from precision-machined aluminum alloy. Features include tool-less camera mounting, a cable lock system, a dual 15 mm rod clamp baseplate and a reversible top handle with cold shoe mount for added flexibility.

The new handheld and shoulder mount rigs all have sturdy aluminum construction and incorporate a quick-release baseplate, perfect for run-and-gun production. The ELE-ENG Detachable Shoulder Mount Rig features ‘smart wheel,’ tool-less camera mounting and a reversible shoulder-pad to provide support that suits individual shooting styles. The Quick Fly EV3 Handheld Rig, Flyweight EV3 Shoulder Rig and Flyweight Offset EV3 Shoulder Rig have been designed for DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

In line with the company’s mission to provide production solutions for film/video and broadcast creatives at all levels, Product Manager Julio Ramon explains, “As cameras have evolved and gotten smaller, there is still a need for support and control that translates to an extension of the shooter. Ikan’s Elements rigs and cages fill that need.”
