HOUSTON, Texas, (Apr. 8, 2015) – At the 2015 NAB Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 13-16, Ikan International Corp will spotlight five new camera control and support tools for motion picture and broadcast production. With help from a full complement of knowledgeable Ikan staffers, NAB attendees have the opportunity to get ‘up-close and hands-on’ with all the products. The Ikan booth is located in the Central Hall, number C6537.

Highlighted in the 2015 showcase will be the PD Movie Remote Live Multi-Control System, the PD Movie Remote Air Wireless Follow Focus, the PD Movie BlackMagic Armor System, and E-Image Sliders. All the tools have been designed to meet the increasing performance demands for camera technicians and enable elevated production value at a reasonable cost.

The PD Movie Remote Live Multi-Control System is a self-contained, multi-control handgrip and motor system than can control focus, iris and zoom on both cinema and EF camera lenses. Easy one-push calibrates to the mechanical stops of the lens. The system comes in two versions: PDL and PDL-HT, with high torque.

The PD Movie Remote Air Wireless Follow Focus is an adaptable camera control solution offering lens focus and zoom/iris control for precise, reliable, and consistent performance. Designed for standard style lenses, the Remote Air comes in four versions: the single channel PD1, two-channel PD2, and high-torque versions of each, the PD1-HT and PD2-HT.

Custom-fit for BlackMagic Cinema cameras, PD Movie’s BlackMagic Armor System (BA1) has an ergonomic and streamlined design that integrates both power and control. Thumb wheel controls are smartly located in the handles. Features include quiet operation of the focus, zoom control and aperture control motors, along with a built-in camera battery lasting for up to four hours and a unique LED lens shade and eyebrow.

Users can get the look and feel of an expensive production with the sturdy but lightweight 10-layer carbon-fiber sliders from E-Image. A 5×5 inch camera platform moves along 12 Abec-3 bearing wheel guides to yield smooth, fluid shots. Ikan offers the ES-70, with rigid 25-inch rails, and the ES-120, with 48-inch rails.

In line with the company’s mission to provide production solutions for film/video and broadcast creatives at all levels, Product Manager Anthony Fennel likens Ikan’s production tool offerings to the well-known Swiss Army knife®. “Our new lines are both effective and affordable. And when you put them all together there is a synergy that adds that extra level of creativity to any project.”
