HOUSTON, Texas, (Apr. 8, 2015) – At the 2015 NAB Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 13-16, Ikan International Corp will spotlight four new monitors and five new teleprompters for motion picture and broadcast production. With help from a full complement of knowledgeable Ikan staffers, NAB attendees have the opportunity to get ‘up-close and hands-on’ with all the products. The Ikan booth is located in the Central Hall, number C6537.

Highlighted in the 2015 monitor showcase will be Ikan’s D12, VX9i, VX9w and VL7e models, all custom-designed for professional-level production. The D12, VX9i and VX9w have IPS panels for excellent viewing from all angles.

The D12 monitor features an 11.6-inch IPS screen with full HD image resolution – 1920 x 1080 – and 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs. All-metal construction makes the D12 adaptable to the most demanding environments, whether in the field or the edit suite. It can be used on the adjustable table stand or a light stand.

With a 1920 x 1200 full HD-plus IPS panel, the VX9i, Ikan’s newest 8.9 inch monitor, displays dazzling imagery and color. The VX9w adds waveform, vectorscope, RGB Parade and histogram. Both models have scratch-resistant Gorilla® glass, 3G SDI and HDMI input and output signals with lossless component and composite, and a rugged all-aluminum body, perfect for location shoots or edit suite.

Ikan’s 7-inch ‘workhorse’ monitor, the VL7, has been upgraded to the VL7e with a higher resolution 1024 x 600 LCD panel and the addition of auto image flip. The HDMI input/output feature remains, and a Canon battery plate is included.

The five new teleprompters debuting at the 2015 show represent a range of usage scenarios and budgets – from ultra-portable tablets to heavy-duty studio setups. All of the models feature foldable frames and scientific-grade glass for accurate viewing, and are shipped in precision-cut foam that readily transfers to waterproof hard cases by SKB. The PT-Elite-V2 and PT-TAB kits are designed for a 15 mm rod system and take the tablet mount to an advanced level. The PT1200 is based on a 15 mm rod system and includes a 12-inch LCD monitor. The PT3700 has a 17-inch glass and is based on a 15 mm rod system. The PT3700-HD is designed for a 19 mm rod system using heavier, studio-based cameras.

In line with the company’s mission to provide production solutions for film/video and broadcast creatives at all levels, Product Manager Dariel Resendez is excited about the quality and variety of Ikan’s updated monitors and teleprompters. “This is our strongest line of monitors yet,” says Resendez. “We now have more monitors with true HD, IPS panels and other advanced features, and much more in the development pipeline – including one surprise to be revealed at NAB. In addition, our teleprompter offerings have evolved to meet the needs of a range of users on location and in the studio.”
