For those in need of a high quality, cost effective entry level high definition monitor, ikan proudly introduces the VL7. Equipped with 1 HDMI and 2 composite inputs, ikan’s VL7 will exceed the expectations of even the most demanding users. This 7” monitor, with ikan’s new peaking feature, boasts a resolution of 800x480 with switchable 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. The VL7 is powered by ikan’s provided BP2T DV battery plate for use with your choice of Sony, Canon, or Panasonic style batteries. The VL7 Deluxe Kit has everything you need in a field ready, on-camera solution kit including: the VL7 monitor, hard carrying case, BP2T battery plate, a battery charger and your choice of either the Sony L, Sony BP-U, Canon 900, or Panasonic D54 series battery. With it’s single HDMI input, two composite connections, switchable 16:9 / 4:3 aspect ratios and peaking function, the VL7 is everything you need and nothing that you don't.

The VL7 is one of the most affordable, no-nonsense 7” HD monitors on the market, giving you the ability to stretch your production budget even farther.

 

Peaking

The VL7 is equipped with both Monochrome and Color Peaking features which highlight the desired focus area in a bright, SILVER outline. The operator adjusts the focus control until the SILVER indicator outlines on the desired area are razor sharp, indicating optimal focus. For the best results, be sure the subject is properly exposed.
